Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce and Burrata

Hi Lovely people, Italian cooking is mainly about simplicity; simple recipes, quality ingredients, cooking techniques and love.

Spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata is a first course as simple as it is satisfying.

You need just few quality ingredients to prepare this delicious recipe with an intense and unique flavor:

Pasta di Gragnano IGP, Napoli S. Marzano Tomato sauce or Organic Cherry Tomatoes sauce, garlic, burrata, basil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Nocellara del Belice IGP.

So easy you can prepare the sauce in the time it takes to cook the pasta.

400 gr spaghetti (or tagliatelle or penne)
1 cloves garlic
400 gr Napoli tomato Sauce or 1 bottle of Organic cherry tomatoes sauce
Burrata: 2 large ball of fresh burrata
3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil Nocellara del Belice IGP
2 handfuls flat-leaf Basils finely chopped
2 tbsp sea salt

  1. Start by finely chopping the basils and the garlic.
  2. In a large pot, bring four litres of water to boil. Then add the sea salt.
  3. Cook the pasta in the boiling water for the time that’s on the package minus one minute.
  4. While the pasta cooks, add the extra virgin olive oil to a non-stick or stainless steel pan.
  5. When the oil is warm, add the finely chopped garlic. Let fry in the oil for about one minute. Make sure your heat is on low and the oil doesn’t get too hot. You don’t want to burn the oil, nor the garlic.
  6. When the garlic turns into a light golden colour, add the tomato sauce and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Finally, add the chopped basils to the pan and turn the heat off.
  8. When the pasta is ready, drain it and toss it in the pan. Turn on the heat on medium and finish cooking the pasta in the pan with the sauce while stirring for another minute.
  9. Add a ladle or two of pasta water to make the whole thing come together.
  10. Serve immediately with the burrata (torn into a few pieces) on top, some Extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil.
Enjoy this simple and delicious meal.
